The Royal Academy of Dance promotes and develops the art of classical ballet through graded examinations leading to examinations for Proficiency, Fellowship and Examiner. Examinations are held all over the world in December and June each year. The system is overseen by a panel of highly qualified adjudicators who are recognized specialists in ballet technique.
The Examinations are set by an International Examinations Board (IEB) comprised of representatives from national organizations representing many countries across the globe.
The Royal Academy of Dance is a worldwide organization with a membership of over 20,000 and around 100,000 students.
